Janie S. Kass, CFA, is dedicated to helping investor advisors understand the demands and objectives of institutional clients including corporate and public pension funds, and endowments and foundations, leading to asset retention Janie Kassand growth.

Ms. Kass began her investment career in 1985 at Salomon Brothers followed by Drexel Burnham Lambert, specializing in equity client management. She then served as an Investment Consultant at Buck Consultants and as Director of Investment Consulting Services at Kwasha Lipton. Among her responsibilities were defined benefit and defined contribution consulting to pension funds, particularly asset allocation, manager searches and evaluation, and proprietary tool development.

Ms. Kass spent over seven years at RCM where she held roles of Managing Director, Head of Client Relations, and Co-Head of the Client Relations and Marketing Group. In these positions, she worked closely with equity and fixed income clients to retain and grow the relationships. She also managed the team responsible for ensuring high quality client service. Prior to RCM, she was Director of Client Services at Jacobs Levy Equity Management. In this role, she was responsible for the firm’s quantitative equity client relationships, as well as the majority of the firm’s consultant relations and marketing.

She earned a BA Magna Cum Laude in Mathematical Economics from Colgate University in 1981 (Phi Beta Kappa), and an MBA from Harvard Business School with a concentration in Finance in 1985. She holds a CFA charter, is a member of the CFA Institute, the Security Analysts of San Francisco, and has held Series 7 and 63 licenses. Ms. Kass also is a member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds and Association of Women in Alternative Investing.
